Air travel is a vital element of people’s lives around the world. It stimulates national economies, global trade and tourism. It helps to improve the quality of life in developed, developing and emerging countries. It unites friends and families, lets people explore new horizons and cultures and gives access to career and educational opportunities. It brings people together, face to face, to develop business opportunities and to tackle global issues. Flying machines responds to all of these human needs as no other manner of communication can – people want to and need to fly!
However, a significant part of civil aviation serves other purposes than public transportation of people and goods. Civil aircraft are used as tools for specialized and remunerated commercial services, beyond transport, like aerial photography, agriculture support, infrastructure construction works or search and rescue missions. Aviation training, aerial sports, competitions, displays and recreation are also very important for the promotion of aeronautic skills and general development of the aviation sector. This sector of civil aviation, other than public transportation of people and goods, is commonly often referred to as "General Aviation". But let’s keep in mind that like any other industry, manpower is part of the running cycle and we need professionally trained and qualified personnel to keep this industry running.
Confronting the above related issues Afghan Flying Club is a flight training organization in its formative stages with the concept of providing flight training to student pilots in Afghanistan. AFC will train students under an approved syllabus which will enable them to become licensed pilots. The service approach is “affordable” with emphasis on safe, competent and standard training. With:
